Fused Glass Bowls

Level: Introductory class, no experience is necessary. Age: Appropriate for ages 8 and up. Join Stephanie as she leads a fun class on making your own fused glass bowl! Each person in the class will be given a clear square base to design with dots, squares, hand cut glass, stringers, and frit. Students will learn how to cut glass, sculpt stringers, and design a bowl, all while experiencing the hands-on excitement of working with glass. All materials provided and no experience required. This activity is appropriate for ages 8 and up, so bring the whole family! A minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8 students keep this class intimate and fun! Your completed piece will be fused, finished, and ready for pickup in 10-14 days. About the instructor: Stephanie Baness is an established glass artist with a studio in Corrales, NM. Her Moxie Sorbet Designs specializes in fused glass furnishings, jewelry, and tabletop accessories for the home. Her creations combine beauty with function, using jewel tones and unusual shapes.
